WELCOME TO THE RACINE CHAPTER OF ROYAL FAMILY KIDS CAMP AND ROYAL FAMILY KIDS MENTORING CLUB WEBSITE!
We are part of a network of camps and clubs dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for traumatized children. Our Royal Family KIDS Camp has been serving Racine County children since 2002. The camp is staffed exclusively by volunteers who undergo specialized training. The counselor-to-camper ratio is maintained at 1:2, ensuring personalized attention and care. We maintain a collaborative partnership with case managers within the Racine Human Service Department.
Case managers, caregivers, and campers have all provided positive feedback regarding their experiences at the camp. Two former campers, who had experienced adoption, opted to return to the camp rather than visiting Disney World. Former campers have chosen to work as staff or counselors, providing other traumatized children with the opportunity to experience the safety, love, and positive memories they had at the camp.
FOR THE CHILDREN
For the Children (FTC) serves as the umbrella organization for Royal Family Kids Camps and Mentoring Clubs. Since 1985, a collaborative effort involving volunteers, churches, businesses, and various agencies has been instrumental in providing camps and mentoring programs for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment. FTC’s scope has expanded to encompass advocacy efforts, promoting fostering and adoption, supporting foster parents and birth parents, social workers, and case managers. forthechildren.org.
